Brian J. Win­nie is in his third year of the doc­toral pro­gram in choral con­duct­ing here at the Uni­ver­sity of Wash­ing­ton. He cur­rently con­ducts the World Voices ensem­ble and co-teaches the Music In Cul­ture Course at the Uni­ver­sity of Wash­ing­ton Tacoma. Brian is the Artis­tic Direc­tor of Choral­Sounds and Vocal Sounds North­west, and has an active voice stu­dio in Burien, WA. Prior to com­ing to Seat­tle, he taught high school and mid­dle school for seven years on the East coast. Brian holds a Mas­ter of Music Edu­ca­tion degree from the Uni­ver­sity of Illi­nois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence in Music Edu­ca­tion degree from the Penn­syl­va­nia State University.
