  • IMPFest VIII

The School of Music and the student-run Improvised Music Project present the 12th annual IMPFEST, featuring UW Jazz Studies students and faculty performing with guest artists of international renown in two distinctive performances.

The twelfth annual Improvised Music Project Festival (IMPFEST) features a return to the festival’s roots as a truly student-centric set of performances, with the addition of a renowned guest artist from the recording side of the music business. The May 22 and 23 concerts showcase multiple student-led bands, who are set to reconvene post-festival at Seattle’s Avast Studios to be recorded by renowned recording engineer David Boucher (Disney/Pixar, Randy Newman, Andrew Bird).
