Choral director Geoffrey Boers’s attention is focused on several different priorities at once, but then again, that is nothing new. A collaboration between Seattle Symphony and early music specialist (and School of Music faculty member) Stephen Stubbs is bringing Bach's Passions to Benaroya Hall. Stubbs' production company Pacific MusicWorks presents St. John Passion at Nordstrom Recital Hall March 1 and 2, following SSO's February performances of St. Matthew Passion. Seattle Symphony Music Director (and UW Chair of Orchestral Conducting) Ludovic Morlot returns to the Meany mainstage on February 14, conducting the University Symphony in selections from Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.
