Fall 2020 Choir classes follow a hybrid model of online singing and in-person community building classes that fit within CDC Health Guidelines. NO ADD CODES REQUIRED.
The University of Washington Chorale is an auditioned advanced undergraduate ensemble of music and non-music majors from the Seattle campus. UW Chorale appears annually as a guest ensemble with the Seattle Symphony, and has sung in joint concerts with Revalia Male Chamber Choir in Estonia, and for the Princess of Sweden. UW Chorale appeared at the Latvian Song Festival in Riga, during the summer of 2013 and the Estonian Festival of Song and Dance in 2019, as one of the only American choirs. Their first two solo CDs, Climb and Refuge, are now available for purchase at iTunes, CD Baby or from Dr. Wyers. A third CD, Resonant Streams, was released in 2018 and was featured in a review by Gramophone magazine. UW Chorale values its community; projects are chosen to highlight the diversity and cross-disciplinary interests of its members.
Normally meets Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30–5:20 pm in Music Building, Room 213.
Auditioned Choirs (Chamber Singers, Recital Choir & University Chorale) host ZOOM AUDITIONS on September 24 (Thursday) and 28 (Monday), from 9a-4p.
