Season Notecards:  great live music, great low price!

The School of Music Notecard is a season pass to nearly all of the concerts presented by the UW School of Music in Meany Theater, Meany Studio Theater, Brechemin Auditorium, the Walker-Ames Room, and the Jones Playhouse. 

  • Cost: Notecards for the 2015-16 season are $90, and are valid for admission to more than 60 of the 100-plus concerts on our season. Most of the remainder of our events are free, with only a few exclusions requiring separate admission.* 

  • Convenience: A School of Music Notecard is convenient. You don’t need to obtain tickets in advance — just present your Notecard at the door of the theater at least 20 minutes before the event begins and you will be admitted on a seat-available basis. **
    Seating for Notecard events is not reserved and not guaranteed, so arrive early for the best selection of seats. 
  • How to Purchase: Order your Notecard using the form on the inside back cover of the UW Music Season Brochure, or by calling the ArtsUW Ticket Office (206-543-4880 or 1-800-859-5342 outside Seattle). Notecards are not transferable, refundable, or replaceable. Please keep yours in a safe place.

  • Remember: Your School of Music Notecard will admit you to the Nov. 14 and April 17 Music of Today concerts by the Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS).

    *The following School of Music concert season events are NOT Notecard events:  Performances co-presented with Pacific MusicWorks, including Handel’s Messiah (Dec 12, 13), Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (Feb. 28) and Gluck’s Orphée (May 20-22); Gabriel Fauré: Pénélope; and IMPFest VIII (June 2-4).

    **Seating for the Dec 1 and June 1 Studio Jazz Ensemble concerts is limited, but Notecard patrons may ensure their seating by contacting the ArtsUW Ticket Office before 5 pm the day of the performance.

  • In advance: Purchase tickets in advance, beginning September 10, through the ArtsUW Ticket Office or online.

  • UW Arts Ticket Office: Purchase tickets by cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard, Monday through Friday, 11 am – 6 pm

  • Online: Visit the UW Music event calendar or www.artsuw.org. There is a $1 processing fee per ticket for mail, fax, phone, and online orders. No processing fee is charged for tickets purchased at the ArtsUW Ticket Office window.

  • At the performance: The box offices open one hour prior to performance for ticket sales and will-call tickets. You can avoid long lines by purchasing tickets in advance or arriving early.

Exchanges are valid only for opera tickets, with a handling fee of $1 per ticket. Exchanges must be completed at least 24 hours in advance. We regret that we cannot give refunds for unused tickets.


Brechemin Auditorium


  • At the performance: In 2015-16, there is no charge for admission to concert season events held in Brechemin Auditorium and the Walker-Ames Room of Kane Hall.  See our 2015-16 season brochure for a complete list of concert season events. This policy may not apply to public events by outside groups or departments, so check publicity listings closely.


Walker-Ames Room


  • At the performance: In 2015-16 there is no charge for admission to School of Music concert events held at the Walker-Ames Room of Kane Hall (Littlefield Organ Series on Oct. 30, Jan 10 and April 17).
