At the forefront of the new music scene in many fields, internationally acclaimed violist Garth Knox also commands attention with his persuasive updating of the music of the past (medieval, baroque) via his interest in the viola d’amore and the medieval fiddle. In this concert, he performs solo works and collaborates with members of the Seattle Modern Orchestra (Julia Tai, conductor) and UW faculty violist Melia Watras.
