Co-Winner of the 2017 Strings and Piano Chamber Competition, the Discovery Trio—UW graduate music students Gemma Goday, flute, Wyatt Smith, harpsichord, and Chris Young, cello—explores music from throughout the past four centuries, ranging from music of the early Baroque to contemporary compositions, performing both on period and modern instruments. Their second UW concert of the 2017-18 season includes music by  François Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau,  Jean-Marie Leclair, an improvisation by the trio, and a new work by DXARTS student Daniel Peterson.
