Chopin personified the piano and dedicated himself as a composer almost exclusively to the instrument. Chopin’s exquisite natural intuition about the hand and its optimal adaptability to the topography of the keyboard is unique and unparalleled in musical history. School of Music professor Robin McCabe, piano, will perform several pieces reflecting different dimensions of the composer's genius, and discuss and explore the beguiling musical elements that belong, inimitably, to Chopin.
