The School of Music welcomes Seattle’s Lake Union Civic Orchestra (LUCO) to the UW’s Meany Hall for a performance of concerto excerpts with UW piano students. The group’s music director, Daren Weissfisch, is a doctoral student in orchestral conducting at the School of Music who formerly led the UW’s Campus Philarmonia Orchestras and developed conducting acumen in his work with the University of Washington Symphony, Opera Orchestra and Modern Music Ensemble, among other ensembles.
