Former Artist in Residence, Tuba
Biography
Jon Hill, tuba, joins the University of Washington School of Music faculty in Fall 2016 as an artist-in-residence in the instrumental music program.
At home in many genres, Hill's performance and recording engagements include the Seattle Symphony and Opera, the Tubaluba brass band, commercial soundtracks including Halo: Reach and The Last Stand, ODESZA, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. He studied at the University of Washington, The Juilliard School, and Yale University. His most recent releases are The Rite of Spring with the Seattle Symphony, Champagne Sunday with Tubaluba, and scoring the 2016 feature film As Far as the Eye Can See.
