Biography

Tenor Zachary Rude is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. He is currently a student in the Master of Music program at the University of Washington in the studio of Professor Thomas Harper. Zach has sung roles such as Count Almaviva in Rossini’s Barber of Seville (Concordia), Hans Sach’s trainer in David Little’s Vinkensport (University of Washington), and Philemon in Haydn’s marionette-opera Philemon und Baucis (University of Washington). Zach will be singing with Tacoma Opera in their upcoming 2023-2024 season as part of their Young Artist Program. He is also a tenor staff singer at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Seattle. Zach is a teacher of dozens of students at Moore Brothers Music in Sammamish where he teaches piano and voice.
