Faculty pianist Cristina Valdés performs recent works by a diverse group of living composers, including pieces composed for Valdés or premiered by her, in this program live streamed from the University of Washington's Meany Hall. The program includes music by Wayne Horvitz, Melia Watras, Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez, Kotoka Suzuki, Eva-Maria Houben, and Tania León. Following the performance, Music History faculty member Mark Rodgers moderates a live question-and-answer session with composers Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez, Wayne Horvitz, and Melia Watras.
