The School of Music presents an end-of quarter performance by the Campus Philharmonia Orchestras (Ryan Farris and Robert Stahly, conductors). Special guest soloist on this performance is Laila West, violin, winner of The Key to Change concerto competition.

Biographies

Laila West
Laila began violin lessons at six years old, and began studying at Key to Change in 2023. She seeks to improve her musical skills and become more confident playing in front of audiences. She debuted with the Tacoma Community College Orchestra in March 2025, and this is her solo debut with the UW Campus Philharmonia Orchestra. 

Laila West is a lifelong Washingtonian, and a junior at Franklin High School. She studies violin privately in Key to Change’s Young Artist Academy program with Dr. Quinton Morris and Noah Geller. After she graduates, Laila wants to study biological sciences.
