Spring 2016 Quarter Notes

Unique opportunities for scholarly and creative exploration await arts faculty at a major research institution, as our faculty discover every day in their work at the University of Washington. This quarter two of our faculty members present the fruits of their research when Kari Ragan of the Voice program joins with colleagues from the UW's departments of Otolaryngology and Speech and Hearing Sciences to present "The Art and Science of the Performing Voice" and Music History Professor JoAnn Taricani leads a one-day colloquium, "Shakespeare: Music and Memory." Both scholarly gatherings include a performance component open to all.
