The American String Project 2014: Live from Benaroya Hall, MSR Classics, 2014.

The conductorless chamber music ensemble, founded by UW double bass instructor Barry Lieberman and spouse, violinist Maria Larionoff, played to general acclaim in a string of Benaroya Hall per formances between 2002 and 2011. This MSR Classic s recording, including works by Tchaikovsky, Haydn, Grieg, Brahms and Shostakovich, captures highlights of the group’s 2011 season, which marked the conclusion of Phase One of the Project. Phase Two, focused on educational endeavors and chamber music performances, continues in 2015 with a May 11, 2015 School of Music concert, among other activities.
