Lauren Kulesa is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Voice Performance at the University of Washington, where she is a student of Dr. Kari Ragan. In the fall of 2017, she was an Encouragement Award Winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Portland where she was a chorus member in the Mock’s Crest Productions of H.M.S. Pinafore and Ruddigore. While in Portland, she also performed staged opera scenes including scenes from Cendrillon by Massenet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Britten. This past spring she sang the role of Le Feu in University of Washington’s production of L’enfant et les sortilèges and this summer sang the role of Mrs. Fiorentino in Pacific Lutheran University’s Street Scene.
