Summer 2017 Quarter Notes

The School of Music celebrated the completion of the 2016-17 academic year on June 9 with a Grand Finale celebrating our 2017 UW Music grads, who included some of the outstanding students featured in this special student-centric issue of Quarter Notes. The final weeks of spring quarter also included the school's Strings and Piano Chamber Competition, which yielded two groups of winning students—one graduate, the other undergraduate—to represent the School of Music  as official scholarship chamber groups in 2017-18. As we close the books on another academic year, we pay special acknowledgement to you, our readers, friends, and audience members.  Your ongoing attendance, gifts, and genuine interest helps to create important opportunities for our students that serve them well throughout their lives in music. Thank you for your support!
