Ensemble Auditions & Placements

School of Music performance ensembles are open to majors and non-majors alike. Auditions for major ensembles are typically held yearly prior to the start of Fall Quarter. For information on joining ensembles mid-year, please contact the director of the ensemble you wish to join. 

Please note that Symphonic, Campus and Concert Bands and the Campus Philharmonia Orchestras welcome new players each quarter, as does the UW Symphony Orchestra (on a space-available basis).
