The 2024 UW large ensemble flute audition repertoire consists of Symphony No. 5 by Beethoven, The Moldau by Smetana, Daphnis et Chloe by Ravel, and Symphony No. 9 by Shostakovich.
For consideration for placement in Campus Philharmonia and Symphonic Band, please prepare the TWO excerpts by Beethoven and Smetana.
For consideration for placement in all ensembles, including UW Symphony Orchestra and UW Wind Ensemble, please prepare all THREE excerpts by Beethoven, Smetana, and Ravel. For optional piccolo consideration in UWWE and UWSO, please also prepare Shostakovich.

Horn

Note: If you are not a music major or music minor, you need only prepare the etude “Tango Caliente”.
