Audition Sign Ups

Before you can sign up for an audition, you must submit an application to the University of Washington. Applications are available at the Admissions website for undergraduate applicants and at the Graduate Application website for graduate applicants.

As a postbac applicant, if you have completed a prior undergraduate degree in music, you will only need to audition for the music education faculty. If you have NOT completed a prior undergraduate degree in music, you will need to complete two auditions: one for the performance faculty on your instrument/voice, and one for the music education faculty. You can find audition requirements for both on the School of Music website. Vocalists: For the music education audition, you can either provide your own accompanist, or we can provide an accompanist for you.

You will be asked to complete a Jazz Studies audition only. If you would also like to complete a classical audition, please fill out a second audition request with that information.

Please note: all strings students enrolled in private lessons with faculty are required to audition for and enroll in the UW Symphony Orchestra.
