Oceana Quartet chosen for Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford

Oceana String Quartet

The Oceana Quartet, the scholarship quartet of the University of Washington School of Music, has been selected from applicants from across the country to participate in the 2012 St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford University.

The quartet, Emily Choi and Rochelle Nguyen (violins), Romaric Pokorny (viola), and Sonja Myklebust (cello), will be at Stanford from June 22 through July 1, studying with the internationally acclaimed St. Lawrence String Quartet, and performing in concert and master class settings. The Oceana Quartet is coached by Melia Watras, UW faculty violist and chair of Strings.
