Erin Conor, head of the University of Washington Music, Art, and Drama Libraries, has announced her resignation from the UW effective June 1, 2022. Conor has accepted a position at Harvard University as the Richard F. French Librarian of the Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library.

Conor earned an MA in Music History (2006) and and MLIS in Library and Information Science (2008) at the UW, working  as a student employee in the Music Library under the supervision of former head Judy Tsou. She went on to serve as as research librarian for the performing arts at University of California, Irvine, and as performing arts librarian at Reed College in Portland and before returning to the UW in Fall 2017.

“I’m very excited for this next step in my career but sad to be leaving UW,” Conor said in an emailed announcement earlier this month to School of Music faculty and staff. “I have learned so much from working with all of you and will miss having you as colleagues.”

Conor said she would be working with Libraries administrators on an interim leadership plan for the Music Library, with plans to be revealed as they are finalized.
