Field recordings of traditional Afghan music recorded in the late 1960s and early 1970s by former longtime UW Ethnomusicology professor Hiromi Lorraine Sakata have been added to the National Recording Registry of the United States Library of Congress. UW Music scholarship students present a recital on Feb. 12
In light of public health advisories on social distancing and following University of Washington guidelines, the UW School of Music has canceled all remaining public events in the 2019-20 academic year.
