Biography
Sarah Bost is a second-year student in the Masters program in Music Education at the University of Washington. This year she is continuing as co-conductor of the UW Campus Band and assistant in the UW School of Music Admissions Office; additionally, she is teaching the Woodwind Techniques class for prospective music educators. Sarah is excited to pioneer the Panther Pep Band at Seattle Preparatory High School for the 2016-17 school year.
A North Carolina native, Sarah graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.M. in Music Education with a concentration in instrumental conducting. She has studied under numerous clinicians such as H. Robert Reynolds and Morten Lauridsen.
Previously Sarah was the Director of Bands for the San Juan Island School District in Friday Harbor, WA. She taught concert bands for 6th-9th grades and high school jazz band and pep band. She has taught general music and middle school band in the Catholic school system of greater Seattle. Sarah is a flutist and saxophonist.
