UW Symphonic Band, Winter 2017 Auditions

The Symphonic Band (MUSEN 302/502) is the second auditioned wind group at the University of Washington, performing a repertoire of classic and contemporary wind music. 

Membership is open to students in all majors and from all schools and departments of the University of Washington. Rehearsals during Winter Quarter 2017 will be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:20 PM in the School of Music, room 35. Next quarter's UWSB performances include an appearance at the Pacific Northwest Band Festival (February 6), an off-campus performance (March 1) as well as concert at Meany Hall (March 7).

Auditions for winter quarter will be held during the last week of classes.

DATE: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2016

TIME: 9:00-11:15am / 1:00-4:30pm  

LOCATION: Brass & Woodwinds, MUSIC 223; Percussion, MUSIC 35

 

Auditions will consist of:

(1) prepared excerpts (linked below)

(2) sight-reading
