Seattle Symphony bassist Ted Botsford performs a recital on May 22nd, and leads a master class with students of Barry Lieberman on May 21st.
ARTIST BIO
Ted Botsford comes to the Seattle Symphony from the Oregon Symphony, where he has been Assistant Principal Bass since 2010 and served as Acting Principal Bass from 2013–2015. He is an avid chamber musician and soloist, performing frequently with groups including 45th Parallel, Fear No Music and Third Angle. He currently serves as Principal Bass of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, California. A graduate of Rice University, Botsford earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in bass performance with Paul Ellison.
