Former students of Theory Professor Jonathan Bernard host a conference in his honor to celebrate his retirement from the University of Washington after 35 years on the School of Music faculty. The conference opens with this performance featuring works by composers relevant to Professor Bernard's areas of research, including a world premiere by faculty composer (and School of Music Director) Joël-François Durand and works by Chris Stover, Elliott Carter, Philip Glass, and Tom Baker.
