Johann Van Niekerk is in his third year of the doctorate degree program in choral conducting at the University of Washington. Currently he conducts the University of Washington Tacoma World Voices and the University Singers as of January 2014. Johann is also the Director of Music at Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church. He holds a Master of Music degree in conducting from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, Postgraduate Piano Performer’s Licentiate from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
