Adjudicators

Francine Peterson, bassoonist, is an active freelancer and teacher in the Puget Sound Area.  She has played extra with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific NW Ballet, 5th Ave. Theater, Paramount Theater, Auburn Symphony and other various groups in the Seattle area. Francine teaches at the University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University and also maintains a large private class. Francine coaches bassoon for Cascade Youth symphony and the Seattle Youth symphony where she is also on the faculty for the Marrowstone Summer Music Program and SYSO Summer Music. In addition, Francine has taught internationally at the Interharmony Music Festival and the Vianden International Music Festival. She also goes to various middle and high schools in the Puget Sound area, coaching and starting young bassoonists. 

Danielle Lemieux is an active performer in the Puget Sound and is a tenured member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Northwest Sinfonietta, and Auburn Symphony Orchestra.  She also regularly substitutes for the Seattle Opera, 5th Avenue Theater, Tacoma Symphony, and Tacoma Opera.  Danielle graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Horn Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston, MA). Danielle spent a year in Oslo, Norway as a Fulbright Scholar, studying with renowned hornist, Frøydis Ree Wekre.  She has spent 21 years as Director of Music Ministry at various Lutheran churches, teaches private lessons on horn, piano and voice and is adjunct faculty at Tacoma Community College, teaching Music in the Classroom, Music Appreciation and World Music classes.
