A collaboration between former colleagues unites Bellevue Youth Symphony, UW Gospel Choir, and Mount Zion Baptist Church Choir on March 10 when BYSO music director Teresa Metzger-Howe and UW Gospel Choir director Phyllis Byrdwell lead a joint performance by the Bellevue Youth Symphony, UW Gospel Choir, and Mount Zion Baptist Church Choir.

"The choir has been invited to sing a 30-minute performance as well as a finale with the Bellevue Youth Symphony at the Meydenbauer Theatre,” Prof. Byrdwell says. "The theme is highlighting African American Music and its influences. The program will feature both groups along with New Revelation/Praise Team from Mount Zion Baptist Church of Seattle."

Program highlights include a shared performance of Dr. Robert Ray’s He Never Failed Me Yet and other works. For more detail and to purchase tickets, visit BYSO's website.

The Gospel Choir’s own winter concert is Monday, March 11 at Mount Zion Baptist Church. The choir will be joined by Mount Zion’s New Revelation/Praise Team. Details here.
